Something not working, or just stuck? Everything below covers the questions that come up most. If yours isn't here, email us — a real person reads it.
Contact us
We aim to reply within 2 business days. Including your iOS version and what you were doing when the problem happened helps a lot.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us — so cancelling happens in your Apple account:
If you cancel during the 7-day free trial, you are not charged, and you keep full access until the trial's last day. You can also reach this screen from inside the app: More → FaceQuest Free/Plus banner → Manage.
Open More and tap Restore Purchases. This re-checks your purchase with the App Store. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe. If it still doesn't unlock, email us.
Refunds are handled entirely by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and select the purchase. We have no ability to issue refunds ourselves, but tell us what went wrong so we can fix it.
The free version is fully playable — you can track urges, build streaks, earn XP, and level up forever without paying. FaceQuest+ adds all 56 achievements (10 are free), complete stats and calendar history, the full photo timeline and Skin Story, Trigger Insights, extended focus sessions, home screen widgets, all cosmetics, and bonus daily missions.
Yes. FaceQuest+ supports Family Sharing. If you have a Family Sharing group set up in iOS, your family members can use your subscription at no extra cost.
Entirely on your device. FaceQuest has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no ads. We never see your progress or your photos. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
Photo check-ins are optional. Photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded anywhere. Deleting the app deletes them.
Go to More → Settings → Data. Export Data produces a file you can save or share. Reset All Data permanently erases everything — progress, achievements, photos, and settings. That cannot be undone.
Because data is stored locally, your progress lives on the device it was created on. Export your data before switching devices if you want to keep a copy. Your subscription follows your Apple Account and can be restored on any device with Restore Purchases.
Streaks roll over at midnight in your device's local time zone, and count days where you logged at least one save or resisted urge. Travelling across time zones or changing your device clock can shift when the day flips. If your streak dropped and you're sure you played, email us with the date — we'd like to see it.
Check two places: iOS Settings → FaceQuest → Notifications must be allowed, and in the app, More → Settings → Notifications must be on. You can fine-tune which reminders you get under Reminder Schedule.
Widgets refresh on a schedule set by iOS, and reset at midnight. Opening the app forces a refresh. If a widget is stuck, remove it from your home screen and add it again.
Force-quit and reopen it first — your progress is saved continuously and shouldn't be lost. If it keeps happening, email us with your iOS version, device model, and what you were doing. Crash reports help enormously if you have Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers turned on.
FaceQuest supports VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and Reduce Motion. If something in the app is hard to use with assistive technology, please tell us — we treat those reports as bugs, not requests.
We read everything. If there's something you wish FaceQuest did, email us. If you're enjoying it, a review on the App Store genuinely helps other people find it.
